The Epilfree Application Protocol

The methodology and simplicity of Epilfree make it the most unique permanent hair removal treatment. A simple additional 5 minutes to your treatment time is all it requires.

The correct application of the Epilfree product by the professional is of utmost importance to achieving the desired results.

Before beginning the treatment, it is essential that the client is aware of the Epilfree journey, and how the hair growth cycle will determine the results of each treatment. If unsure, make sure to go and read our blog on the hair growth cycle, and how it affects the Epilfree treatment. (INSERT LINK TO HAIR GROWTH CYCLE BOLG HERE)

Begin by ensuring the client has completed a consultation card and is fully aware of the treatment, the treatment journey they are embarking on, as well as the aftercare they need to follow post-treatment.

Begin by cleansing the skin. The skin should be cleansed with water and cotton only. No pre-cleansers should be applied to the skin- the reason for this is that the pre-cleanser can create a barrier between the product and entry into the hair follicle, which will hamper product penetration.

Once the skin has been cleansed, apply the wax of your choice. Epilfree is compatible with all waxes, or epilation methods (which include threading, sugaring, and tweezing).

Once the wax has been removed, immediately apply product A, the Epilfree Activator. There is a 20-second window in which to apply the activator, as the follicles close after 20 seconds, and the Activator will not penetrate into the area.  Apply Activator by tapping it into the follicles from where hair has been removed.

If there are any stray hairs left behind after the wax has been removed, they will need to be tweezed, as another patch of wax cannot be applied to the area once the initial wax has been removed and the activator has been applied.

Once the last wax strip or patch of wax has been removed, and the activator has been applied to the area, set a timer for 5 minutes, and allow the product to penetrate. The Activator gets to work to open up the hair follicle and prepare the follicle for the application of toner. It is really important that the Activator penetrates into the follicle for 5 minutes.

Once the 5 minutes have passed, the toner can then be applied. The toner works to stop the duplication of cells at the base of the hair follicle, which will prevent other hair from growing. Toner should be applied by massaging it into the treated area in the opposite direction of hair growth.

Important tips to keep in mind regarding the application:

  • Pre-cleanse with water and cotton only
  • Only 1 patch or strip of wax can be applied
  • Activator needs to be applied by tapping the product into the skin
  • The Activator needs to penetrate the follicle for 5 minutes before the application of toner
  • Toner is massaged into the area in the opposite direction of hair growth, allowing it to penetrate into the follicles.
  • Use the treatment usage chart as a guideline to how much product should be used per area to avoid overuse or underuse.

As simple as that, you can now offer your client a one of a kind unique permanent hair removal solution for their unwanted hair in 3 easy steps
